YDBS Pops Up at Pitt's African Studies Center Annual Celebrate Africa Event

On Saturday, September 16 we had the opportunity to host a pop up -bookstore at the University of Pittsburgh Center for African Studies #CelebrateAfrica Conference. During this event, we met so many amazing parents, grandparents, professors, administrators, college students, kids, and community members who saw the value of books featuring protagonists of African descent!

One of the things we love about our pop-up is listening to people’s stories and experiences because it provides us with the opportunity to learn from them and dream with them! We look forward to participating in this event next year and years to come!
