NLA Partners with Young Dreamers to Facilitate City-Wide Parent Engagement Nights

The Young Dreamers' Bookstore is teaming up with the Neighborhood Learning Alliance PGH to do Parent Engagement Nights throughout the city of Pittsburgh and Greater Pittsburgh area! These sessions are an opportunity for caregivers and children to dream out loud together, while also connecting their dreaming to reading! In addition to aforementioned, caregivers help their children complete a worksheet that serves as a guide for them to select a book based on their dreams!
Partnering with NLA to provide students with books that speaks to their dreams is powerful. As I always say, “books are tools to build dreams!” When students have books that speaks to their dreams, it has the potential to transform their lives. I want to give a shout out to Kashif Henderson and his team for placing a high value on reading and dreaming for the children in their programs !
